More Details: Born and raised in Rochester, I always knew that I wanted to be married at my home church (Rochester Chinese Christian Church) surrounded by all of my family and friends. As a medical student, planning my wedding amidst studying and exams was hectic, but fortunately, thanks to my amazing mom, sisters and bridesmaids, we were able to get everything done. We didn’t have an official theme, but since the bridesmaids dresses were a light lavender/lilac and purple is my favorite color, we went along with a purple theme. The reception (La Luna Restaurant) was in an old historic Rochester building converted to a dance club, converted to a multipurpose space. When filled with lanterns, the “unfinished” warehouse was an awesome mix of modern and charming.. The day was so special to us and it meant a lot to be able to establish our covenant before our family and friends and then celebrate.

The dress I chose was an Allure 2555. I first came across it while trying on dresses in Rochester. To my surprise, NYB was able to order it for me for a better price than the one I had seen. It was a beautiful sweetheart neckline dress with fit and flare style. As a petite bride (5’ 1”) I wanted something that would flatter my figure, something I wouldn’t get lost in, and something truly elegant and timeless. The lace on my dress was just right and I loved the “buttons” (they were fake – thank goodness for zippers) on the back. I was very thankful for the support of the ladies at NYB as I often had to go to dress appointments alone and needed some opinions. The alterations done at NYB were phenomenal the dress fit just right. Thank you NYB for helping me obtain and fit my perfect dress.
